Aron (1907) was de zoon van David de Groot en Betje de Groot-Wagenaar. Hij had drie zussen: Kaatje (1911) Anna (1914)en Marianna Elisabeth (1918). Alleen Kaatje overleefde de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
