20 maart 1940, wedding of Maurits and Bella Speelman-Soester

Nine men attending a service in the Great Synagogue in Amsterdam on the occasion of the chupah of Maurits Speelman and Belia Soester, 20 March 1940. Sitting in the front row from left to right: Mozes Visser, (grandfather of the groom), Isaac Soester, (father of the bride), Bernard Chapon (brother-in-law of the bride), and right Abraham Speelman, (brother of the groom). The latter survived the Shoah. Second row left Levie Italiaander (uncle of the bride) unknown person and Joseph Citroen (with grey hat, uncle of the groom).
