Bernard Chapon was a son of David Chapon and Flora Buitakan (Buitenkant). He married Marianna Soester in Zaandam on 23 December 1936, a daughter of Isaac Soester and Sientje Buitenkant. The couple had one son, who has survived the Holocaust. Also Bernard’s spouse has survived the Shoah.
