However the date of his death, 3rd September 1944, is the date of the punishment transport from Westerbork to Auschwitz. The Dutch Red Cross reports: The I.T.S. has passed on a declaration that Horst Weile died in Poland not earlier than 01-10-1944 and latest 15-03-1945.
