The official death certificate for Hijman Waas, no. 591, drawn up in Amsterdam on 21 February 1946 following the decision of the Amsterdam District Court of 31 January 1946, in which it was established that Hijman Waas died "end of December 1942" in Mauthausen.

The Todfallsaufnahme (death certificate) of Hijman Waas, made out in Mauthausen on 13 January 1943 with the mention of his date and time of death on 15 January 1943, 14.45 hours. It is doubtful whether this deed is reliable. The official date of death is adhered to by order of the Amsterdam District Court of "end December 1942", established on 21 February 1946 (deed 591).
