Van 1795 tot 1808 moet het huis van de Sternfeld's een centrum van joods leven geweest zijn. Denken we maar aan de besnijdenis van Levy Meuleman in 1805. Salomon Simon's zonen, Simon, Aaron, Joseph en Izak zullen ook zonder twijfel in zijn huis besneden zijn door een mohel.
