Iwan de Vries was an orphan. At the end of 1938 he came from Altharen to Groningen. He lived there with the De Groot family. He first was forced to move to Amsterdam and then was put for some time in the orphanage of Westerbork. Eventually he was deported via Theresienstadt to Auschwitz and murdere…
