Sara Schönthal was verpleegster. Ze heeft korte tijd (omstreeks 1941-1942) bij de schrijver Georg (Hermann) Borchardt ingewoond, waarschijnlijk om hem te verzorgen. Georg Borchardt woonde tot hij gedwongen naar Amsterdam moest verhuizen in de Siriusstraat in Hilversum.
