On 26 February 1814 King William I decreed that the Nederlandsch Israëlitisch Seminarium (NIS) was to be established in Amsterdam to train rabbis, teachers and other officers serving the Jewish community.
Jacob Bramson, the son of Isidore, attended the NIS.
Jacob Bramson was one of the staff at the Alijah facility "Vondelhof" in Amsterdam in 1939. He did the administration, and taught Hebrew.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.
