Abraham Assou was een zoon van Isaac Assou en Anna Bed. Volgens zijn archiefkaart in SAA is hij op 22 mei 1924 getrouwd in Amsterdam. Zijn broer Philip Assou is op 20 Mei 1920 getrouwd met Vrouwtje Polak, een zus van zijn vrouw Anna. Vrouwtje heeft de oorlog overleefd.
