According to my grandmother's notes and those of another relative, ( http://gen.scatteredmind.co.uk/show_person/591) Richard was a brother of Albert Gassmann ( http://www.joodsmonument.nl/person/532421) who was also deported from Amsterdam, and had three daughters who probably survived the war.
