Sara had vermoedelijk contacten tijdens WOII (illegale pamfletten van het Parool rondbrengen) met Jaap Melkman uit de Gaaspstraat in Amsterdam Zuid. Uiteindelijk is zij in de Cilierstraat nummer 7 Amsterdam Oost gearresteerd. Ze is via Westenbork naar Auschwitz gedeporteerd. Gijs & Iris De Jong
