Bertha Hijmans trouwde op 5 december 1912 met Arnold Bosnak. Arnold overleed in november 1936. Het echtpaar kreeg 2 kinderen. Dochter Jetty overleed in augustus 1936 op 22-jarige leeftijd. Zoon Dick werd in 1942 in Mauthausen vermoord. Bron: Stadsarchief Amsterdam,
