Felix en zijn vrouw woonden tot februari 1938 in het huis "de Eekhoorn' op de Nieuwe 's Gravelandseweg 81 te Bussum. Dat was een houten villa, bouwjaar 1900. De oorspronkelijke bewoner was Adriaan van Oort.
