String band Borne about 1920. In front sitting on a chair Anna Rosa van Gelder, ± 11 years old, the daughter of the bass player standing in the back, David van Gelder and Mathilde Bamberger. The violist, standing on the right in the photo is David's brother Aron (Nun) van Gelder. All other persons of the band are unknown.

David van Gelder was a son of Israël van Gelder and Anna Stofkooper. His first spouse was Mathilde Bamberger. From this marriage he had a daughter Anna Rosa. He married Truitje Hiegenlich in 1916 in Borne. A son from this marriage survived the war.
