Debora Rachel Sara Gertrud Bloch can be seen on a group picture of 22 Jewish children, made at the end of September 1942 on the courtyard of the synagogue in Deventer. Arthur Bloch came from Poland. His family-in-law lived in Bünde. He started a trade in draperies there and in 1933 in poultry. In 1939 he moved with his family to Deventer. The family received financial support from the Jewish community.
