1943_Suus_van_Buuren

17 November 1942 wordt het joodse meisje Suus van Buuren (rechts op de foto) uit haar huis gehaald en op transport gezet naar kamp Westerbork. Januari 1943 reist zij verder naar het vernietigingskamp Auschwitz, waar zij op 21 januari wordt vermoord. Kort ervoor weet Suus een briefkaart voor haar vriendin Jenny (links op de foto) uit de trein te gooien. Deze wordt door iemand gevonden en gepost. Zij schrijft erin dat ze op weg is naar het buitenland en dat alles goed gaat. Het is haar laatste teken van leven.
