Ernst was sent to Buchenwald shortly after Kristalnacht. He tried, twice to escape over the border to Holland. He was ultimately successful, but was confined as a refugee in Reuven, Holland, together with Jakob Scheuer.
He emigrated in 1941, bringing with him the Scheuer family trunk of possessions to Maysville, MO where his sister Frieda Erman Lived. They both later moved to Omaha.
Klara and Alex Daniel were from Drove, Germany. They died about 1942” in Izbica ( a holding camp for Belzec, near Lublin) Concentration Camp.
