Alida Speelman was was married. The couple had two children and lived in Hilversum. Shortly before the war the couple got divorced. Alida Speelman moved to The Hague, together with her youngest child. The father and their eldest child moved to Amsterdam.
During the war the father and the eldest child reached Switzerland, due to an exchange of prisoners. They survived the war.
