Heinz Joachim Jakubowski probably tried to escape deportation by going to Belgium. He was interned in Mechelen Camp and deported from there on Transport XXII A to Auschwitz on 20.09.1943. (Mecheln-Auschwitz 1942-1944, List of Names of the Deportees, VUB Press, Brüssel, 2009)
