Casper Philip Cohen was een zoon van Abraham Cohen (Doesburg 1879 - Westerbork 1944) en Marianne Weijel (Zutphen 1879-Utrecht 1940). Hij had twee broers: Emanuel Cohen (Arnhem 20.5.1921) en Philip Casper Cohen (Utrecht 27.1.1907).  Hij was vriend van/gehuwd met Leentje Broekhuijsen uit Leeuwarden.
