Joseph Mechanicus was fruitventer. Eerder in zijn werkzame leven was hij sigarenmaker. Zoon Leo was kapper, later leerling perser. Dochter Marianne was kleermaakster, later handwerkster. Leo doet in december 1940 aangifte van fietsdiefstal. Bron: archief Amsterdam.
