Brief van Hirsch Muller uit Rio de Janeiro, Brazilië, waarin hij probeert een visum voor in Europa achtergebleven familieleden te krijgen. De familieleden zijn: zijn broer Aron Muller met zijn vrouw en hun drie kinderen, die in Amsterdam wonen; zijn zus Gittel Scheinowitz-Muller met haar man en vijf kinderen, die eveneens in Amsterdam wonen; zijn broer Samuel Muller met zijn vrouw en drie kinderen, die zich in het grensgebied tussen Polen en Duitsland bevinden; zijn zus Rachel Lea Einhorn-Muller met haar man en drie kinderen, die in Leipzig wonen.
