Jacob Samuel Wijler (also known as Sam) was a teacher of French language and literature. He wrote a PhD thesis on Isaac de Pinto and received his doctorate in 1923. He was a member of the organization for Jewish Sciences and of the exam commission of French literature. He was fired in 1940.
