Isaac Verveer was the son of Emanuel Verveer and Rebecca. He worked, among other things, as a travelling salesman, bicycle dealer and wholesale dealer. In 1913 he married Rozette (Roos) Spiero. The couple had two children, who both survived the war by going into hiding.
