In a Red Cross letter, sent by friends of the family to the father-in-law of Esther (Stella) Stoppelman-Delden who stayed in London during the war, it is already mentioned on 26 June 1943 that Esther was deported. In this letter the deportation of her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Louis and Froukje Cohen-Stoppelman is also mentioned. Private collection
The message containing the death notice of Alida Rinie Cohen to her grandfather remains. It was signed by her grandmother, cousins and little brother. The name of the grandfather in London is 'encrypted' as A. Hollander because of censorship. Private collection
Alida Rinie (Lideke) Cohen died of an illness on the place where she had gone into hiding. On 9 January 1944 her grandfather in London was sent a message about her death.

Froukje Saartje Stoppelman was married to Louis Cohen. Two children were born to the couple, Alida and a child who survived the war. In 1942 the family had to move to Amsterdam by order of the occupying forces, and they moved in with Froukje Cohen-Stoppelman’s parents. Also living in the house were …
