Workers' cooperative based on socialist principles formed by Henri Polak and others in Amsterdam in 1901.
It was initially a consumers‘ cooperative that ran grocery stores, bakeries and a tailor shop. Since the Housing Act (1901), such associations could apply for government grants to build homes for workers. Many Jews belonged to De Dageraad.
