Harry Salomon van Geldere was a son of Benjamin van Geldere and Sara Frijda. His mother was killed in Sobibor; his father passed away in Haarlem in 1933. He married 19 June 1930 in Amsterdam to a non-Jewish woman, from whom he divorced on 12 March 1941. His older brother has died already in 1926, only 17 years old.
