Sara Halberstadt was married to Louis van Velzen, a son of Barend van Velzen and Rebecca Viskoper. She has been deported on 15 September 1942 from Mechelen to Auschwitz with Convoy X, which arrived in Auschwitz and were she was killed on 18 September 1942. Incorrect fate

Sara van Velzen-Halberstadt was not gassed upon arrival on September 18th, 1942, but rather was among the  101 women of Mechelen Transport X chosen as labor during selection. She perished on the camp on October 18th, 1942, and appears in the camps death books.
