Lion van Straten (niet te verwarren met zijn oom Lion, geb.1890, die eveneens in Mauthausen omkwam, maar dan op een vroegere datum, namelijk in 1941) had een tweelingbroer Maurits, die op 2 mei 1940 te Amsterdam overleed.
