Abraham Bloemendal was a son of Philippus Bloemendal and Betje Polak. He married in Den Haag on 14 October 1925 to Jochwet Feige Beder, daughter of Simche Izak Beder and Sara Scheindel Kornmehl.
The couple had two children: Philip Eduard and Bertha Louise.
