Biografie van de Duits-Boliviaanse uitgever Werner Guttentag, afkomstig uit Breslau. In 1938-39 verbleef hij in het werkdorp in de Wieringermeer, oa samen met zijn jeugdvriend Werner Jany. Een oom van moederszijde, Walter Tichauer, was al eerder met zijn gezin vanuit Breslau naar Amsterdam gevlucht. Zowel Jany als Tichauer (beide op deze site genoemd) komen in dit boek voor.
