David Polak werd geboren 3 januari 1882 in Bathmen. Hij was getrouwd met Wilhelmina Frankenhuis uit Almelo. Ze hadden een manufacturenzaak in de Dorpsstraat in Bathmen. Ze werden 14 mei 1943 in Sobibor omgebracht.
