Scope and content
This sub-unit contains individual documentation from Concentration Camp Buchenwald, arranged by the ITS into personal files. The first page of each file is an envelope created by the ITS, This envelope contains personal data on the individual and a listing of the document types contained in the file. It can also include an ITS inquiry file number (T/D-number).

Administrative History
Please note that while the majority of the material in the files comprises original documentation from the period of this camp's existence as a Nazi persecution site, the compilation of the files was carried out by the ITS from various sources it holds.

Volgens de kaart van de Joodse Raad kwam Emanuel op 26 mei 1943 aan in Westerbork met zijn gezin, alwaar zij in barak 57 verbleven.
Volgens onderzoek door Aline Pennewaard (zie verhaal bij zijn vrouw Mina Slomper) is Emanuel op 16 nov 1943 samen met zijn vrouw, zoontje Aron en zijn 4 stiefkinderen op transport 81 van Westerbork naar Auschwitz gesteld.
Waarschijnlijk is Emanuel in januari 1945 terecht gekomen in Gross-Rosen, vanwaar hij op 7 maart 1945 aankwam in Buchenwald.
