Hertha was a musician in Hamburg, where she was born. This photo was taken of Hertha in 1922 in Berlin and was sent to her friend/fellow musician, Heidl Hochfeld in Hamburg. Heidl, her husband, Ernst, and their 2 daughters, Lili and Annette left Hamburg and came to the U.S. in 1938. They settled in West Hollywood in a beautiful neighborhood lined with trees and gardens. Annette Hochfeld passed away in December of 2016 at the age of 90. I found this photo in a shed behind the family home. If you know of any surviving relatives of Hertha, please contact me. Heidl and her family left Hamburg for the U.S. in 1938 and settled in Los Angeles. Heidl and her husband, Ernst had 2 daughters - Annette and Lili. All immigrated to Los Angeles and escaped the Holocaust. Annette recently passed away at the age of 90. I found this photograph of Hertha in a storage shed behind Annette's home. I want it to go to any surviving family member(s) of Hertha.
