Sallie Kanteman was 'the son of Juda Kanteman and Johanna Stofkooper. In 1900 he married Leentje Goldstein, daughter of Samuel Goldstein and Henderika Vos. The couple had four children: Juda, Samuel, Johanna and Hendrika Rosa (died in 1912).
